ImmersionRC are no strangers when it comes to the FPV Racing scene, supplying some of the best FPV gear in class today. The Vortex is their vision of what a FPV racer should be, bought to life.
The packaging for the Vortex is surprisingly sleek considering it contains a fully assembled 280 sized quadcopter.
With the outer packaging remove, we see a foam inner packaging as well as a quick start guide. The cool thing about the quick start guide is that each Vortex is tested individually and the tester’s name is then stamped onto the paperwork.
The inner foam packaging is pre-cut to protect the Vortex during transport. The air frame uses a foldable arm design which would explain why the packaging was to sleek compared other ready built quad.
The Vortex comes complete with a full spare set of props (Gemfan 5030), a Fat Shark SpiroNet Cloverleaf antenna, spare camera dampers, double sided tape for a receiver and a sticker pack.
The fold up design makes transporting the Vortex extremely easy.
The frame itself is of high quality, using high grade carbon fibre throughout the chassis. Battery cable is prewired with a XT60 connector and 2 battery straps are preinstalled for your convenience.
A 700TVL FPV Camera is preinstalled on a swivel mount allowing the pilot to offset the pitch of the camera to their own liking.
8 high powered RGB LEDs are attached to the rear of the frame, these LEDs are controlled by a 32bit processor so the user can program how they light up.
The ImmersionRC Vortex is available now @ £358.99
